ZTE blew us away earlier this week with the ZMAX Pro, a $99 smartphone with solid specs and some high-end features. After a brief hands-on demo I shipped the device off to our video team in California and now we’re ready to bring you a full rundown.

The ZMAX Pro has a lot to offer. That includes a massive 6-inch 1080p display, a solid 3400mAh battery, a fingerprint reader, a quad-core Snapdragon 617 processor, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. That all adds up to a pretty awesome smartphone, especially considering the price

ZTE also whipped up an impressive design for its $99 device. The plastic panel has a nice feel to it and the metallic ring around the edges is a classy touch. Those round copper accents around the rear camera and fingerprint reader are a great addition too, giving the phone a polished look.

Of course, the real question is whether the ZTE ZMAX Pro can really deliver on everything it promises. Is it good enough to be your daily driver? Or is it better used as a backup handset? You’ll have to watch our video to find out.
