ASUS is hosting a news conference on May 18 in New York City where we expect to hear more about the company’s plans for a U.S. launch. The phone is already available in other parts of the world, however, and one retailer is offering a flash sale on May 7 that fans might want to pay attention to.

Starting May 7, 2,000 lucky buyers will be able to pick up the ASUS ZenFone 2 for $336, down from the standard retail price of $449. It’s a one-day sale from AliExpress, and will last until supplies are depleted. Still, that’s a pretty solid price considering it’s the ZenFone 2 model with 4GB of RAM. It also features an Intel Atom processor clocked at 2.3GHz, a 13-megapixel camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, dual SIM card slots, a 5.5-inch 1080p display and 64GB of storage.

It’s possible ASUS will reveal an even more affordable U.S. launch price on May 18, especially since ASUS chairman Jonney Shih revealed during CES 2015 that the entry-level price for the model with 2GB of RAM should cost just $199. Hit the source below and bookmark the deal from AliExpress if you can’t wait that long.
