A minute long trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild aired in Japan yesterday on TV CM. It’s a beauty, especially since it comes when we’re less than two weeks away from the game’s release.

Can you believe that? I can’t.

Most of the footage here has been recycled, though there are moments (like the dragon and Link diving from the cliff) that are new. Here’s the clip.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild finally drops next week

This game was announced back in 2013. It was set to release for the Wii U in 2015. We’ve known about it for four years. Its initial announcement actually came in January of 2013, so the game could very well have been in development for more than a year before that date.

I genuinely think this is a lowball estimate, but The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been five years in the making. It’s the only completely original Zelda title to release for the Wii U, and it’s being billed mostly as a Nintendo Switch game. Of course, that last bit comes as Nintendo has obviously marked it as the biggest potential launch title for their platform.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is due for the Nintendo Switch and Wii U on March 3, 2017. That’s next Friday.
