Media Molecule and Sony have officially announced a voice actor for LittleBigPlanet 3 that I'm not sure any of us saw coming. Hugh Laurie, of House M.D. fame, will be lending his talents to the game as he voices a character named Newton.

Of course, the narrator for previous LittleBigPlanet efforts was the talented Stephen Fry. He returns to his role, but Laurie shows up here as the bad guy. Why not?!

Here's how it's broken down on the PlayStation Blog:

Introducing Hugh Laurie as the voice of Newton!

That's right! The mischievous Newton is being voiced by none other than Stephen Fry's long-time comedic partner… Hugh Laurie! We have naturally always been big fans of Stephen Fry, so when it came to deciding upon a voice to act as his dastardly counterpart, we couldn't help but think that bringing Hugh Laurie on as the voice of Newton would be just the perfect double act for LittleBigPlanet 3. We couldn't be happier to have him on-board!

We'll hear other famous voices here, too. Nolan North is present, as well as Tara Strong, Peter Serafinowicz and Simon Greenall. This truly is an all-star cast.

LittleBigPlanet 3 hits the PlayStation 4 on Nov. 18, 2014. I can't wait to hear Laurie and the rest give their performances here.
