Japan, those lucky ducks, will see Yoshi’s Woolly World for the Wii U on July 16, 2015. Even better, Australia will have it on June 25 and Europe will be playing on June 26. Great, then there’s North America, left out in the cold for once, without an exact release date in sight.

Yoshi’s Woolly World will launch in North America this fall, probably. I expect Nintendo of America will announce a launch date within its Nintendo Direct Presentation during E3.

Until then, we’ll need to live vicariously through Japanese overview trailers like the one you see above. Man, Good-Feel has really developed a beautiful little game here.

The trailer explains at one point that collecting five packs of yarn in each stage will yield a brand new Yoshi. A Moo-Moo Yoshi or Rainbow Yoshi are used as examples. Collect the yarn, unlock the Yoshi and then play with your fresh yarn skin. Pretty cool.
