I don’t think you’ll be able to find a new game with as much content as Yakuza Kiwami for $29.99. That’s the asking price for Yakuza Kiwami, the full HD remake (and then some) of the original Yakuza that hit the PlayStation 2 back in 2005. It’s set to release for the PlayStation 4 on August 29, 2017.

While Kiwami is a remake, it offers more minigames and distractions as well as an additional ~30 minutes in cutscene footage. It’s hitting both physical retail and digital distribution, too.

The remake brings new audio, too

This isn’t just a visual boost for the title that’s now roughly 12 years old. Yakuza Kiwami on then PlayStation 4 offers entirely re-recorded voice acting from the Japanese cast, to boot.

If you started Yakuza with the recent Yakuza 0, which is an amazing game and the perfect entry point, Yakuza Kiwami is the next step in the storyline. You’ll have all the info you need to understand what’s up, so get into it! This franchise shouldn’t be missed.
