SEGA was talking up a big announcement for the Yakuza series, and it delivered double fold. Not one, but two new PlayStation 4 games were announced during Sony’s pre-Tokyo Game Show 2015 briefing, but to be fair, one of them is a remake.

First thing’s first, SEGA confirmed that Yakuza 6 is a real video game, and it will be aiming for a Japan release in fall of 2016. No other information was provided beyond that.

Meanwhile, we in the English speaking world are still patiently waiting for Yakuza 5, which was first released back in 2012. Maybe we’ll be seeing Yakuza 6 in English by 2024. SEGA, if you are truly serious about improving your games and frayed relationship with gamers, like your president promised, making your most consistently praised franchise available throughout the world is a pretty solid idea.

Let’s see it happen without the anxiety of “Maybe…” this time.

After that, SEGA also announced a new title called Yakuza: Kiwami, a full HD remake of the first Yakuza game as a 10th anniversary celebration. We’re still struggling to get all of the main numbered entries in English, so our chances of this one are slim to none. Never say never, though. It might happen.

Both will be at Tokyo Game Show 2015 from Sept. 17 to 20.
