We recently got a first look at the Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Compact. Now a new image shows the same two devices from an entirely new angle, offering a fresh perspective on Sony’s upcoming smartphone lineup.

The latest leak from ViziLeaks shows the new Xperia family from the side, with the smaller Z5 Compact stacked on top of its flagship brother. Both devices feature a power button on the side, which apparently doubles as a fingerprint reader. You can also see the volume and camera controls along the side of the smartphone.

The Xperia Z5 models appear to sport an industrial design similar to the previous models. However, the power button is definitely bigger to incorporate that biometric sensor. The Compact looks a lot thicker than the regular Z5, suggesting it won’t sacrifice on specs to fit into a smaller frame. Sony’s new flagship phone is also expected to pack a cutting edge Snapdragon processor, 3GB or 4GB of RAM, a 4500mAh battery and a 20.7-megapixel rear camera.

ViziLeaks notes that Sony’s naming schemes have been pretty unpredictable lately, so there’s still no guarantee these devices will actually be called the Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact. The company recently confirmed plans for a big press event coming in early September, so hopefully we’ll get an official name and some hands-on time with the new phones soon.
