While Sony hasn’t seen fit yet to officially announce the Xperia Z3 Compact, it definitely looks as though it is taking shape and should be ready to hit your local carrier store any day now.

New images discovered on QZone via Xperia Blog show what appears to be the upcoming Xperia Z3 Compact from Sony. While the phone looks like a shrunken down version of the leaked photos of the Xperia Z3 – as it should – we can get some confirmation of the purported thinness of the device along with the 20.7MP camera with a centered flash on the back.

Also visible in the photos is the 3.5mm headphone jack, a dedicated camera button and a magnetic charging port. Of interest also is the microSD slot now appears to be next to the micro USB port with both inputs sharing a common covering door.

Early last month we saw the first rumored specs for the Xperia Z3 Compact, which, in addition to all of these new photos, just increases the amusement factor as the flagship Xperia Z3 hasn’t even made its official debut yet. Along with these Compact images, there were also two new photos discovered of the larger handset, but they do not reveal anything we haven’t already seen, but you can look at those below.

With the IFA trade show in Berlin happening in just a few weeks, it is feeling more and more likely that will be the location for the announcement of both new Sony handsets. TechnoBuffalo will be on the ground for the show, so make sure to check back in for all of the coverage.
