Sony’s Xperia Z1f launched in Japan several months ago, but the high-powered handset still hasn’t seen a U.S. launch. That may change this week according to a new photo from @evleaks showing a similar device called the Z1s with T-Mobile’s branding. Today’s rumor follows a report last week that the “Z1 mini” is headed to China later this month.

The Xperia Z1s first surfaced back in November 2013 on Sony’s website, revealing an international version of the Z1F. The device is expected to pack a 4.3-inch 1280 x 720-pixel display, a quad-core 2.2GHz processor, a 2,300mAh battery, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a 20.7-megapixel camera, and run Jelly Bean 4.2.2, according to a set of specs shared by @evleaks.

With Sony and T-Mobile both set to hold major press events at CES this week, we expect to see the new device unveiled in the next few days, though it’s unclear which company will do the honors. Sony is set to make its presentation today at 5 p.m. PT, while T-Mobile won’t take the stage until WednesdayTechnoBuffalo will be covering both events, and we’ll let you know as soon as the Xperia Z1s makes an appearance.
