When Sony announced its intentions to sell off its VAIO PC line, the company said the reason was because it wanted to focus more on its mobile portfolio. Now we see just that, as a rumor suggests that it has a brand new tablet coming down the pipeline.

According to @evleaks, Sony is developing the successor to the Xperia Tablet Z, properly named the Xperia Tablet Z2. The device is said to offer a Snapdragon 800 processor, Android 4.4 KitKat, 3GB off RAM, 10.1-inch triluminos display with a 1920 x 1200-pixel resolution, a 6,000 mAh battery, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter. The tablet is expected to be waterproof, as many of the company's recent products are.

We don't have a release date yet, but with Mobile World Congress right around the corner we expect to hear more during the show – if not a full unveil.
