Xiaomi’s Mi5 is already one of the most anticipated Android phones of the year. Now it turns out the company could have something to offer for Windows fans as well.

A new report out of China claims the Mi5 may also be available in a Windows 10 Mobile variant. The company could announce the news next month during a planned press event at Mobile World Congress. This is the first time Xiaomi will make an appearance at the Barcelona trade show, so it makes sense that the firm may have a surprise up its sleeve.

The Windows-powered Mi5 will presumably pack the same hardware as Xiaomi’s Android smartphone. That includes a Snapdragon 820 chip, potentially making it the most powerful Windows 10 Mobile device on the market. It could also come equipped with a 5.2-inch Quad HD display, a 3000mAh battery, 4GB of RAM, 16GB/64GB of storage, a 16-megapixel rear camera (8-megapixel in front) and a fingerprint reader built into the home button.

It’s unclear if this Windows 10 version of the Mi5 will include any of Microsoft’s unique features, like Continuum and Windows Hello. Xiaomi has teamed up with Microsoft at least once before, so we assume the two companies will work together to make sure this Mi5 variant is as powerful as possible.
