Xiaomi can’t stop the Mi 8 from leaking just hours leading up to its full unveiling.
It’ll be announced on Thursday, but today you can get one last look at the Mi 8 before showtime. Xiaomi’s latest flagship was caught on camera with two hands-on photos being posted online. The photos don’t exactly reveal anything we didn’t know already, yet the leak does serve us a reminder of what Xiaomi has planned.
Here are the leaked photos, courtesy of SlashLeaks:
The photos confirm Xiaomi will place a notch at the top of the phone’s display. Even though you may dislike the notch, it’s actually not too bad. The Mi 8 will benefit from the notch by having a small body but a large display.
Other features confirmed in this leak are Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845, a dual-camera setup, and a built-in GPS.
Rumored specifications for the Mi 8 include a 6.2-inch Full HD+ (2280×1080) IPS LCD display, 6GB of memory, 128GB of storage, a 3300mAh battery, and Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI. If those specs turn out to be real, Xiaomi will have a cutting-edge flagship to sell. That’s particularly useful as the Chinese company is expanding into more regions to boost its profile.
The launch event is taking place on May 31. Depending on where you’re located, the Mi 8 could be made official while you’re asleep. TechnoBuffalo will have the latest surrounding Xiaomi’s Mi 8 debut so you can see what this 2018 flagship is all about.
