The world of Xenoblade Chronicles X has mechs. These mechs are called Dolls, and they are each capable of transforming into things like cars, bikes, tanks and massive walkers. They look exceptionally strong, as evidenced above, and they’ll be used to take on big beings and cover the huge world.

We have, in addition to the screens and art that litter this page, two videos of the Dolls in action. The first video features these Dolls in combat.

This next video shows the Doll customization system in action, complete with full control of each individual part’s hue, saturation and brightness. If you want an entirely unique bright neon pink mech roaming Xenoblade Chronicles X‘s massive landscape, you’ll be able to make that happen.

Finally, we have three pieces of concept art that vary only in color choice. This stuff is gorgeous, but I’d like to see a bit more variety when they release these. It’s not the first time they’ve dropped multiple pieces of concept art that are essentially the same shot with a slight tweak. Still, they look cool.

Xenoblade Chronicles X is set to release in Japan for the Wii U on April 29. Its close proximity means we’ll be flooded with actual gameplay videos from gamers soon. The western release of the title is set for later this year, though we don’t have an exact date just yet. We’ll have more on this massive Wii U RPG soon.
