XCOM 2 is back and looking better than before in the latest batch of screenshots. If you haven’t had a chance to see exactly why XCOM: Enemy Unknown was one of the best games of the previous console generation, I suggest you play it and get a crash course to prep for this newer game, which is promising to take the gloves off on the difficulty.

This highly anticipated sequel takes place on the planet Earth after the XCOM division failed miserably to defend it from incoming aliens. Humans have been forced into slavery, but the organization still fights back in the shadows, resorting to guerrilla warfare to bring down their invading overlords. That’s why this time around our soldiers are wearing hoods and other “roguish” styles of clothing.

Gone are the armor assortments of normal soldiers. These new XCOM units are shady. Or someone just played a lot of Assassin’s Creed. Your guess is as good as mine.

In addition to the screenshots and trailers, 2K Games and Fireaxis also revealed a $74.99 Deluxe Edition that comes with the soundtrack and the Reinforcement DLC pack. Likewise, the pack can be bought separately for $19.99, and it includes:

Anarchy’s Children: featuring rebellion-themed content with more dramatic soldier customizations (releasing spring 2016);

Alien Hunters: introducing new gameplay surrounding XCOM as an elite alien hunting unit tracking down “Ruler” aliens, along with a new mission, soldier customization options and more powerful weapons and armor (releasing summer 2016);

Shen’s Last Gift: offering a brand new soldier class with unique upgradeable weapons, armor and customization features, as well as an additional narrative-driven mission and map (releasing summer 2016).

Pre-orders also get the Resistance Warrior Pack, which will allow players to further customize their soldiers. XCOM 2 will be released for the PC on Feb. 5.
