Xbox One Holiday Sale

If you are in the market for an Xbox One, then there has never been a better time to pick one up. As promised earlier last month, Microsoft has dropped the price of its console by $50 from today and for the remainder of the holiday season until January 3, 2015.

Microsoft labels Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Wal-Mart, and the official Microsoft Store as the main participating retailers, so be sure to check at one of these sites before reaching out to other preferred shops.

It's looking like a decent holiday season for Microsoft. It might be lagging in some of the technical battles with the PlayStation 4, mostly revolving around differences in screen resolution, but the Xbox One has the advantage where it actually matters these days with the knockout holiday exclusives Sony lacks. Sunset Overdrive, Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Forza Horizon 2 top that list while Sony struggles to get Driveclub off the ground.

And I guess there's LittleBigPlanet 3, but that ship has sailed for a lot of fans, I think.

Also, let's not forget Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Destiny might have been heavily swung in Sony's favor, but video gaming's most active franchise has always been more closely associated with the Xbox brand. I don't think that's a balance Activision is interested in upsetting.

I'm still waiting for Scalebound, but if you like what you see from Microsoft and the Xbox One, then you have two months to take advantage of this nice deal.
