World of Final Fantasy is piling on more of the franchise’s biggest stars with the addition of two central protagonists: one of its leading ladies and the ultimate JRPG everyman.

Final Fantasy VI’s Terra shook up the franchise by being the first female to stand at the center of the game’s storyline. Half-human, half-Epser, totally awesome. All the kids like Lightning nowadays, but I’ll be on team Terra until the day I leave the mortal realm. She joins Final Fantasy VI’s General Celes and King Edgar to represent their game in this goofy mash-up.

And then there is Bartz, who is as exciting as dry, white toast. He’s such a lame character that Square even decided to localize him as “Butz” the first time Final Fantasy V reached North American shores. How unfortunate! Despite that, he remains endearing in the same way Bravely Default’s Tiz stole the show. Final Fantasy V now has two characters representing it with both Bartz and the pirate captain Faris confirmed to make an appearance.

Joining these two are Bartz’s loyal Chocobo Boco and the ultimate dragon mage, Bahamut. Check out Square Enix’s official descriptions below, translated by Gematsu.

Bartz Klauser (voiced by Soichiro Hoshi)
Boco (voiced by Kana Hanazawa)

World of Final Fantasy (2)

Queen Acho (voiced by Suzuko Mimori)

World of Final Fantasy (3)

■ Mirages

Acho

World of Final Fantasy (4)

A penguin-esque Mirage. It specializes in water-based magic and counter attacks, and makes the sound “acho.” Its “Furious Bomber” attack is a counter attack triggered when it takes damage from an enemy. It deals damage to and stuns a single enemy.

Bahamut

World of Final Fantasy (5)

A powerful Mirage, whose special move “Mega Flare” possesses the power to annihilate almost everything on the field.

World of Final Fantasy will be released for the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita on Oct. 25.
