When The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was listed on the PlayStation Store as having a 50 gigabyte download, it wasn’t really too surprising. Games are getting huge; Grand Theft Auto V hit 65GB as a download, stretching across seven DVDs on store shelves.

Despite offering dozens of hours of gameplay, though, it looks like players can look forward to a more reasonable wait once the game is ready for pre-load in the run up to its release.

Both the PlayStation Store and the Steam Store reflect a 35 gigabyte download, roughly 30 percent less than previously listed. It’s still a huge download, but it should go a lot faster and burden gamers’ shrinking hard drive space that much less.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is set to release May 19 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
