The Witcher 3 (2)

CD Projekt RED Co-Founder Marcin Iwinski said last week that he's not interested in playing the marketing games the different platform holders are playing with frame rate and resolution. Now it's time to talk about platform-exclusive content.

In an interview with Eurogamer, Iwinski said that with The Witcher 3 CD Projekt RED will "not deliver exclusive content to any platforms, nor will we artificially delay the release of the game on any platforms because somebody's paying us money for that. It's definitely against our values."

This should be good news for just about everyone, excluding the marketing departments at Microsoft and Sony, and any fans overly committed to their consoles. Without having to worry about 8,000 different special editions, each with its own content, the team can focus on making the core game the best it can.

Iwinski did hint at something to look forward soon, though: "What we are doing in terms of marketing cooperation, you'll see that at E3."

The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt is headed for consoles and PC in February 2015, and we hope to get a closer look at it in just a few weeks.
