Microsoft’s Windows 10 Mobile update for older Lumia devices may finally arrive this month. VentureBeat reports that the new operating system is scheduled to hit in March following multiple delays.

Microsoft previously promised to bring Windows 10 to older Lumia handsets running Windows Phone 8.1 last December. After it missed that initial deadline, the company reportedly planned the release for February but never made an official announcement. Now it may finally be ready.

Windows 10 Mobile should become available for some devices later this month after the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL get their monthly service updates. Microsoft will likely deliver it through an over-the-air update.

In the meantime, Microsoft is already offering a Windows 10 Mobile preview for a variety of phones. The company just pushed out an update with plenty of fixes and support for even more devices, giving you a chance to get acquainted with the new operating system before its officially released.
