If you’re looking to pick up the digital version of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD this fall when it drops for the Wii U, you’ll need at list 2.6GB of free space on your system to do so.

Nintendo Everything has that download size from the Nintendo eShop. The HD update to this classic adventure is very close to release in Japan.

Whether or not you’re a fan of the Wii U, it’s obvious that its in-box storage capacity is rather paltry. The Basic units provide a measly 8GB of space, while the Deluxe Editions ring in it 32GB. 32GB is practically nothing in this day and age.

If you think you’ll be landing Wind Waker HD this October when it releases, you might want to either clear off some storage space or pick up an external hard drive. Speaking from experience, the hard drive option is exceptionally easy.

Of course, if you prefer the physical format as much as I do, you can just buy that instead. Plus, it rocks pretty awesome boxart.

We’ll have more on The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD for Wii U as it comes.
