There are major spoilers for Avengers: Endgame ahead.
As expected, Avengers: Endgame features many familiar faces, from Captain America to Thor to Black Widow. There's even a customary cameo from legendary writer Stan Lee.
But the film also goes deep into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with some characters showing up after years of being absent.
One such character is Harley Keener (Ty Simpkins), a young kid who forged a brief partnership with Tony Stark in Iron Man 3. He just looks different seeing as Iron Man 3 came out in 2013.
Keener shows up at Tony's funeral, as the camera is slowly pushing through the crowd who are in attendance of the ceremony.
He's not immediately recognizable like the other faces in the crowd, which includes Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders). But it's a nice throwback in a movie full of throwbacks.
It's unclear if Marvel has grander plans for Keener down the road. If not, it was a nice payoff for a character who was greatly impacted by Tony's heroism and genius.
Avengers: Endgame may feel like the end of the MCU, but it's actually just the end of the Infinity Saga. There's a lot to come in the next few years, starting with Spider-Man: Far From Home this July.
