Motorola is expected to unveil a new smartphone tomorrow at a planned press event in London, and based on the latest photos leaking from the phone-maker we’re pretty certain the low-cost Moto E will be star of the show. Today we have yet another look at the Moto E, this time in white courtesy of @evleaks.
Based on previous leaks we’re expecting the Moto E to come equipped with a 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor, a 4.3-inch display, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of storage with microSD support, a 5-megapixel rear camera, a 1980mAh battery and Android 4.4.2 out of the box. Earlier today Motorola even teased the upcoming device on Twitter, suggesting it could serve as a cheap alternative to the outdated flip phone, which might explain why the Moto E doesn’t appear to come with a front-facing camera.
The Moto E is expected to serve as a super-cheap Android phone meant for emerging markets where flip phones and similar handsets are still a popular option. Before leaving Motorola, former CEO Dennis Woodside hinted the company could release a $50 smartphone. It’s possible the Moto E could be that device, but we won’t know for sure until the company makes an official announcement early Tuesday morning.
