Apple on Monday introduced a major update for the iPad. It's so big that Apple is making software for the iPad separate from iOS, calling it iPadOS.

Some of the new features coming to iPadOS include an app exposé, spaces, pinned widgets, and a more powerful Files app, with improved ways to manage your files on the go. And, like iOS 13, iPadOS supports Dark Mode, making the experience easier on the eyes.

Here are the devices that support the new software.

  • 12.9-inch iPad Pro
  • 11-inch iPad Pro
  • 10.5-inch iPad Pro
  • 9.7-inch iPad Pro
  • iPad (6th generation)
  • iPad (5th generation)
  • iPad mini (5th generation)
  • iPad mini 4
  • iPad Air (3rd generation)
  • iPad Air 2

iPadOS is set to launch as a free update this fall.
