During its Unpacked event yesterday, lost among the shuffle of Samsung’s big announcements that included the Galaxy Note 9, Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Home speaker was its new Wireless Chargier Duo. It is a new wireless charger that can charge two devices at once.
Strangely enough, aside from showing off the Wireless Charger Duo charging the Note 9 and Galaxy Watch at the same time, Samsung didn’t get into detail about the new device.
Let’s start with the specifications of the charger itself. The two charging pads have 12W power, which means both support fast charging. It can charge two smartphones at once that are Qi-certified compatible. There are two red LEDs at the center that let you know the devices are charging.
Oddly enough, Samsung also failed to mention pricing and availability. It can be purchased now through Samsung’s site and Best Buy for the cool price of $119.99. Samsung’s site says it’ll ship in 7-10 days while Best Buy says it’ll ship by August 20. The charger is not available though Amazon yet, though we imagine that’ll change soon.
The only other detail worth noting is that you can purchase the Wireless Charger Duo in two different colors: black and white.
