Your body is one amazing power plant. Between kinetic, potential heat and even electric energy there is a lot of potential for energy sources. So why don't we?

Our bodies do a pretty remarkable job of converting a fuel source, food, into energy.  Sure, we can use "manpower" and turn cranks, turn knobs and whatever else that uses force. But what about involuntary actions like basic body movements or the heat that dissipates from our bodies? That just seems like a bunch of wasted energy.

What if shirts could capture body heat and turn that into energy, or nanocrystals that can use a beating heart to power batteries in a pacemaker. These are just some ideas that are being researched to harness the body's energy.
