ViewSonic LogoViewSonic reportedly has a new 7-inch Android tablet lined up for next week’s Mobile World Congress. According to Pocket-lint, the device will run Ice Cream Sandwich and feature a high resolution 1024 x 600-pixel display with a pixel density of 169ppi, similar to the company’s ViewPad 7x tablet that hit during the second half of last year.

One source told Pocket-lint the device will be “ultra light” and Google-certified for all the normal services, including Android Market access. The tablet will reportedly be equipped with a mini-HDMI, microUSB and mini-USB ports, along with front and back cameras. In addition, the offering will reportedly come with 1GB RAM, 3G connectivity and a speculated price point of around $350.

No images or other design features were shared, but from the sound of things, this 7-inch ViewSonic tablet will certainly turn a few heads at MWC. That is, unless Asus’ Tegra 3-equipped 7-inch tablet makes an appearance.
