Withings Thermo: Hands-on with the sleek new infrared thermometer

by Jacob Kleinman | January 6, 2016

Withings is known best for packing activity tracking sensors into its classic watch designs, but the company is trying something new with Thermo. This infrared thermometer promises a painless experience in a sleek package. So of course we had to try it for ourselves.

Thermo uses new HotSpotSensor technology to accurately check your temperature with a quick touch to your forehead. In just two seconds the results are displayed on the device and in a dedicated app that tracks your health. From there you’ll get analysis based your previous temperature readings, your symptoms and any medication you’ve taken. You can also share the results directly with your doctor from the app.

Withings’ new thermometer is set to cost 99.95 euros, though it won’t ship until the spring. For now check out our video up top, along with some extra photos in the gallery below.
