by Sean P. Aune | May 25, 2011May 25, 2011 3:31 pm PST

TechnoBuffalo is launching a new videos series called “What’s the Apps?” where our very own Jon Quach will be reviewing various mobile applications to see if they are worth your hard earned dollars.  With hundreds of thousands of applications out there these days, it can be hard wading through all of them, and that’s what we’re going to try to help you with.

We start off this series with Maven, an alternative web browser for iOS devices.  Even though it only costs $.99, if you buy enough apps at that price that don’t thrill you, you’ll quickly get frustrated.  Jon runs this app through its paces and gives you a decisive answer to whether or not it’s worth the money, and if he’ll be ready to swear off Safari.

Check out the video and let us know what you think in the comments below!
