TechnoBuffalo’s Driven: Fisker’s Return, Volkswagen XL1 and Corvette Stingray

by Brandon Russell | May 30, 2013May 30, 2013 4:00 pm PST

The automotive world was rife with yet more big news this week, the biggest being Henrik Fisker’s potential rise from the ashes as he looks to get Fisker Automative back. As the company verges on bankruptcy, Fisker is looking to join Hong Kong tycoon Richard Li to salvage the green car maker. But is it too little too late?

If Fisker and Li can keep the company from flatlining, Fisker’s return could mark a potential turning point. Li would purchase the U.S. Department of Energy’s loan to Fisker, and in turn keep the auto company from going under. But Li isn’t the only one lining up a possible purchase, with two other groups currently in line to revive the floundering Fisker.

Additionally, Jon talks about the Volkswagen XL1 and the Corvette Stingray. Check out the video for a full rundown on this week’s news, and be on the lookout for new episodes of TechnoBuffalo’s Driven every Thursday on The Tech Feed YouTube channel.
