Will the Sprint event tonight in New York City debut the Echo, a dual-screen Android device?

No one seems to be able to figure out what tonight’s Sprint event is about in New York City.  Our own Noah Kravitz ran down his thoughts some time ago, and even he was stumped as to what this “industry first” could be, but now it appears that The Wall Street Journal may have figured it out.

The current speculation is that the unveiling tonight will be a dual-screen Android phone produced by Kyocera Corp.  According to the report, the phone will feature two 3.5-inch screens that will allow users to drag tasks and items between the two.  The device also features a hinge system that will allow you to fold the panels back on themselves so you can work with just one screen if you should choose.
