Sprint’s network is in a transitional period. 3G is so 2011, and we all know that WiMAX didn’t quite pan out for the carrier the way it hoped. That leaves LTE, which Sprint is rolling out this summer. And in anticipation of its next generation network, folks are getting a small gift in the form of Sprint’s 4G LTE Tri-Fi Hotspot. Small, nimble, and just $99 with two-year contract, the Tri-Fi is a great little companion for those looking to get multiple devices online. In our brief testing and hands-on, we gave the iPhone a quick spin and got 5Mbps down, 1Mbps up. We would have liked to test something like the EVO 4G LTE, but unfortunately LTE isn’t rolled out in our area. Check out the video to see if the Tri-Fi is a device you might consider picking up.
