Google and Samsung handed out Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablets to everyone at Google I/O. Including us! Tab 10.1 doesn’t hit stores for another month or so, but I got ours out of the box this morning live from San Francisco.
Galaxy Tab 10.1 is like a Moto Xoom, but thinner, lighter, and made by Samsung. Featuring a 10.1″, 1280 x 800 display, dual cameras, 32GB of storage, WiFi/Bluetooth/GPS, and a thin, lightweight body, Tab is the newest Honeycomb tablet on the block. Today’s “I/o 2011 Limited Edition” Tab came with Android 3.0.1 Honeycomb preinstalled, but Google has promised an upgrade to the freshly-announced 3.1 OS in the coming weeks. Perhaps just in time for that big Samsung event in NYC on May 24th? We’ll see.
