We had a chance to delve into the features of the Qualcomm Toq smartwatch during this year’s CES 2014. Smartwatches and other wearable tech is all the rage, and rightfully so as they have so much to offer. You have the most important news and information close to your fingertips (err wrist). So what sets the Toq apart from other smatwatches?
Firstly, Qualcomm’s Mirasol color touchscreen display uses magic-like technology to make the screen visible even under bright sunlight. You can customize your watch face with one of many watch faces that come loaded on the Toq.
Using the Toq app you can customize quick reply messages back from your pre-sets and quickly reply to calls and messages with “Hey, I’m in a meeting, I’ll get back to you ASAP”, “Hey, driving right now, let me call ya back in a few” or pretty much anything your heart desires.
The Toq’s battery will last you up to a week, and when you do eventually need to charge up you don’t even plug in. Charging is done through its fancy wireless charging base.
Qualcomm has made a solid smartwatch and extremely convenient to use. What’s worse than a device that is too complicated to use? Nothing.
