One More Day: Apple Press Event, iOS, and All The iPhone News You Can Handle (video)

by Jon Rettinger | October 3, 2011October 3, 2011 12:28 pm PST

You knew it was coming. And now, we’re finally (finally) on the precipice of learning what Apple has in store with its iPhone media event: Will it be a lone iPhone 4S, iPhone 5 or one of several models? Bigger screen? Aluminum back? How hard will iOS 5‘s Assistant rock, if at all? And can Tim Cook shake off the specter of Steve Jobs and work this media event like a champ?

Those answers and more are coming. And we’ll be here to cover it all via live blog, so be sure to bookmark this link now, so you’re all set to hit it tomorrow, when the fun starts at 10 AM PST / 1 PM EST. (We’re starting 5 minutes ahead, so drop in early and say hey.) Or if you want all the headline news in 140 characters or less, follow us at @TechnoBuffalo. We’ll also have ongoing coverage throughout the day!

So what are you hoping for the most? A new form factor? Beefier specs? A second budget version? New carrier(s)? The end of all the 4S/5 rumors and speculation? Share your deepest, darkest i-desires below.

Why not a live video feed?

Well, no one’s getting it outside the Covent Garden Apple Store, and even there, it’s not public. (It’s for staff and press only.) Sorry hopefuls. But if you’re itching to see Cook in all his glory, a recorded event video is still expected to be available at some point afterward. And we’ll let you know as soon as that’s live. In the mean time, you can still get your fix for iPhone announcements here at the Buffalo.
