One M9 – Here’s how Sense 7 themes work

The HTC One M9 offers tons of new hardware features, but HTC also did a lot of work on the software side, too. It’s loaded with Sense 7, a new user interface that puts a huge focus on customization. One of the major options is the ability to create, edit and apply custom themes. We figured we’d show you how all of that works.

You’ll start by long tapping on the home screen and selecting the Themes option. Next, you’ll be able to browse and download a series of existing themes, or create your own using a picture in your gallery. HTC’s software will analyze the picture and recommend a color palette to use, in addition to icons that might match. Or, if you choose one of the pre-loaded themes, it will apply a new background, font, icons, sound package and more, all in a matter of seconds.

You can see how easy this is to do in the video above, and we think it’s something consumers are going to love when the HTC One M9 launches.
