It’s going to be a while until we actually hear official word from Nintendo regarding the upcoming Nintendo NX. The company recently indicated that the only thing it’ll be talking about at E3 this year will be the new Zelda, and it’ll only be showing of its Wii U version.

Bing translation: [Announcement] is a totally new concept gaming NX (development code name) at any given time will we 3/2017.

What do we know, then? We know a bit about its codename, some rumored features, a few terrible leaks based on patents, the release date and more. Put them together, and we might start to have a picture of something worth getting excited for.

Nintendo has a lot riding on the NX. Sure, there’s that argument out there that the company has such a massive pile of money in the bank that they could make it through multiple console failures before finding themselves in hot water; however, Nintendo is in a really weird position with consumers right now. Bad moves with the NX could inform the market’s opinion of Nintendo for years.
