Nexus 6P unboxing: The most exciting Nexus device ever

We’re very familiar with Google’s monster flagship by now. Announced late last month, the Nexus 6P is Google’s answer to the aluminum phone craze, introducing a sleek device with some of today’s top specs. USB-C? Check. Fingerprint sensor? Check. And that’s not all.

If you’re still not quite aboard the big phone craze, chances are the Nexus 6P won’t do much to change your mind. But dammed if it isn’t trying. It’s a gorgeous phone with a 5.7-inch Quad HD display, front-facing stereo speakers, and a massive 3,450mAh battery, which should get users through a heavy day of use without issue.

Nexus devices are typically just archetype flagship phones that don’t really dazzle in any particular area. The Nexus 6 was a beast, while the Nexus 5 was perfectly normal. But neither “Wowed.” The Nexus 6P, on the other hand, wows. You’ll understand the minute you pick it up. This thing is premium, equipped with some of today’s top technology.

And the best part is you get Android Marshmallow out of the box, which is easily Google’s best version of Android yet. All told, the Nexus 6P is without question the most enticing Nexus phone ever, featuring a slick design and all the technology you could ever want. And it’s just $499 without a contract, which is a pretty competitive price considering what you get.

Some of the phones other specs include a 12.3-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter, Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB/64GB/128GB of internal storage and NFC to take advantage of Android Pay.

We’re excited to take this one for a more extended spin around the block, so stay tuned for future thoughts and impressions.
