Matte Black MacBook? We think you’re going to love it

For years, ColorWare has filled an artistic void by catering to expressions of creativity and individuality. From gaming to tablets to accessories, the company has been helping users beautify the industry’s top products, producing some truly stunning creations in the process.

While Apple’s MacBook already looks gorgeous, we wanted to instill some life into the ultrabook by creating a one-of-a-kind look that fit in with the device’s stealthy design. So rather than get crazy and create a clash of bright colors, we went with a more understated matte black, from the shell to the keys, all the way to the trackpad.

I think the results speak for themselves.

As you can see, even though Apple offers a space gray MacBook, the matte black MacBook looks incredible, like it was subsumed by Marvel’s Venom. It fits perfectly with the MacBook design and reminds us a lot of the black MacBook Apple briefly offered all the way back in 2006.

If you decide to do something similar, you have two options: send in your current MacBook, or buy one brand new from ColorWare. Know that if you allow ColorWare to beautify your device, it’ll void any warranty from the manufacturer. However, ColorWare warrants some products against workmanship defects for one year, so should anything happen as a result of the coloring process, you should be covered.
