Behold, the MacBook Air — Apple‘s latest entry in the so-light-it’s barely-there category of laptops. One just landed here at TechnoBuffalo, and I can’t wait to tear the packaging off and see how this represents in real life.
The one we received is the smaller version, but at the higher end of the spec range — meaning it has an 11.6-inch display with the 1.8 GHz i7 processor chip, 4MB shared L3 cache and 256 GB storage.
This Mac OS X Lion computer also boasts Bluetooth 4.0, a new standard for the wireless protocol that includes the Bluetooth Low Energy specification, and ditches the mini display port in favor of the new universal Thunderbolt port for peripherals.
