LG Expo Unboxing – Snapdragon Goodness

by Jon Rettinger | December 20, 2009

On the surface the LG Expo looks to be a standard Windows Mobile 6.5 Phone.  However, with this device, things are definitely not what they seem.  The Expo is one of the few phones released in the world (not to mention the US) packing the Qualcomm 1GHz processor.  This behemoth is extremely capable and the extra horsepower really does seem to translate to real world use.   (For comparison, the iPhone 3GS has a 600MHz processor.)

Speed is not the only thing the Expo has going for it, it’s also the 1st US phone to pack a pico projector although you’ll have to take our word for it since sadly, one was not included with our test unit.

Overall the Expo is shaping up to be one of the best Windows Mobile phones around, whether that’s enough to earn your cash, has yet to be seen.  It will run $199.99 after rebates on a 2 year AT&T contract.
