From Sin City out to Scottsdale, Arizona, TechnoBuffalo’s Driven recently spent a few days test driving Kia’s upcoming 2014 lineup, starting with the company’s new Forte. Expected to hit the market in the middle part of this year, the new Forte has been completely redone from the ground up with some great tech onboard.
Front and center is Kia’s new UVO powered by Microsoft, which will allow iOS and Android users to tether to their device. We didn’t have the chance to hook up our phones—the apps haven’t yet been approved—but we did get to demonstrate UVO’s voice capabilities, such as choosing a radio station.
There’s a lot to like about this small chariot. From the limited time we got to spend with the 2014 Forte, it left a good lasting impression, and we could tell Kia spent a lot of time rebuilding its new sub-compact. Kia has managed to inject some small luxury touches into its new fleet, perfect for the first-time young car buyer.
