iPhone 7: Is it worth it to upgrade from the iPhone 6s?

by Brandon Russell | September 16, 2016

It’ll be a question a lot of iPhone 6s owners ask themselves over the coming days: Should I upgrade to the iPhone 7? Considering the iPhone 6s is still a very good phone, it’s certainly a tough sell, especially since the iPhone 7’s design hasn’t changed all that much. However, the new flagship model does introduce plenty of new features, including an improved camera, that might make the upgrade worthwhile.

We’ve already given you reasons arguing why you should and shouldn’t upgrade, so check out those videos if you haven’t already. Basically, it comes down to how desperately you feel you need the iPhone 7’s features. Is water and dust resistance really that important? Does the A10 Fusion processor make a significant speed difference?

The biggest question of all: Can you live without a 3.5mm headphone jack? Data suggests the market is trending toward Bluetooth, something Apple noted during its iPhone 7 presentation last week. But it’ll still be a difficult transition for a lot of users—at least in the beginning. Hey, at least Apple includes a Lightning to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter with every iPhone 7 purchase.
