iPhone 4: Retina Display

On paper, the display on the new iPhone should blow everything else out of the water.  Often times however, theory is very different from reality.  Is this one of those instances?  In this video we show the new Retina display on the iPhone4, and compare it with the outgoing model, the 3GS.  To refresh your memory, the specs on the iPhone 4 display are:

  • Retina display
  • 3.5-inch (diagonal) widescreen Multi-Touch display
  • 960-by-640-pixel resolution at 326 ppi
  • 800:1 contrast ratio (typical)
  • 500 cd/m2 max brightness (typical)
  • Fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating on front and back
  • Support for display of multiple languages and characters simultaneously
