Last Friday I got hands-on with the HTC Sensation at the gdgt Live event in San Francisco. HTC’s first dual-core Snapdragon phone, Sensation is headed to T-Mobile USA and features Android with the latest version of Sense, which is chock full of lock screen enhancements. Sensation also packs a 4.3″ qHD display and dual cameras.
T-Mo has officially announced Sensation as coming “this Summer,” but no specific launch date or pricing has been given. We also know the phone supports T-Mobile’s HSPA+ 4G network, so expect Sensation to launch as a flagship device with a price point to match. There’s no doubt this looks like one of the hottest Android phones to date, but a few questions remain: Can Qualcomm’s dual-core chips stack up against those from NVIDIA and Samsung? Will you consider a new T-Mo contract even in light of their pending merger with AT&T? And is a lock screen really a lock screen if it offers drag and drop app launching? What say you: Is the Sensation sensational?
