It was never in doubt we’d see another Nexus device from Google. As the “beat-Apple strategy,” as Apple lawyer Mark Perry called it, it’s the go-to device for vanilla Android — that untouched, pristine version of Google’s OS. Now there’s a rumor kicking around regarding its specs. Are they the real deal?
It’s unclear if its outward appearance will get a makeover, but we do know the 4.65-inch Super AMOLED HD screen is remaining the same. Inside, however, is where the most significant changes are occurring. According to Tuesday’s leaked specs, the “Nexus,” or GT-I9260, will come equipped with a 1.5 GHz dual-core A9 processor, 8-megapixel camera (1.9-megapixel front), 16 GB of storage and have SD card support.
That’s what (we think) we know. Is that the product Google will announce? It’s hard to say. Expectations will certainly be high for the next Nexus, as it looks to be the go-to option this holiday season for an unskinned version of Android Jelly Bean.
