We have the Galaxy S5 in the office and, as we already knew, it’s capable of shooting 4K video. So, doing what we do best, we decided to put the video to the test. While we were out at lunch today we walked around with the Galaxy S5 and recorded some footage while shooting with the camera in full UHD mode.
In earlier tests we found the footage to be a little shaky, but we think this came out much better. Also, the audio was really crisp in our sample tests — though we’re still testing some of the audio zoom features that are also advertised. In one part of the video, you’ll notice the camera was able to quickly re-focus to a soda can after we touched the screen, and it didn’t have any issues re-adjusting to the bright sky or far away trees after we shot away from the soda can.
This is just a sample for you, our viewers, to see what the quality is like, but we think it’s pretty solid for a smartphone.
