The most-asked question from our readers about Chromecast is, “Can I use it to play in-browser video on my TV?” We’ve got an answer for you in this brief video.
In short? Sure can. But with one major caveat: The Chrome Extension is only available (currently) from the desktop version of Chrome. So, if you’re using a tablet version of Chrome, it won’t work at this time. Other than that, go wild. Watch video, listen to music streaming services, or just plain show off those Flickr pictures by pushing your Chrome browser to your TV with Chromecast.
This is a (happy) sort of surprise, and helps anyone waiting on a Chromecast compatibility update for their favorite app.
