BlackBerry Curve 9360 Unboxing (video)

In a move Research in Motion hopes will appeal to the younger, SMS-loving crowd, the Waterloo-based company has released its miniature BlackBerry Curve 9360. When we say miniature, we mean miniature.

Equipped with a display that measures in at only 2.44-inch, the device touts a single core, 800MHz processor, 512MB RAM, 512MB of internal storage (expandable with mircoSD), 5 megapixel camera and 1000 mAh battery. Compared to something like the Droid Razr, the Curve 9360 sounds like something from the mid 2000s.

The phone, however, isn’t about specs. It’s about the tried and true BlackBerry experience. RIM has had a successful run with its Curve line, so the company is no doubt hoping to piggy back off that success with its 9360. Will the small phone be a big hit?

The BlackBerry Curve 9360 is available on both AT&T and T-Mobile. AT&T’s model will run you $29.99 with two year contract, while getting it from T-Mobile will be $79.99 on contract.

Check out our unboxing to see if the Curve 9360 is the right device for you.
