Blackberry Curve 9300 Prototype – Hardware & Software

by Jon Rettinger | July 1, 2010July 1, 2010 10:18 am PST

Last week (with the help of Negri Electronics)we took the wraps off the yet unannounced Blackberry Curve 9300. We managed to get out techno loving hands on the device once more, this time to show off the software (OS 5) and how it integrates with the revamped hardware.  The new media control buttons feel natural, the keyboard is great (classic RIM), but true to prototype fashion and the OS has not been tweaked for the hardware, making for awful screen resolution.  AT the end of the day, this is a classic Curve with a few evolutionary improvements.  I don’t suppose the launch day line will be wrapping aorund the block, but business users and Blackberry lovers have something to look forward to.
